With more than 25 years of experience as a commercial photographer, I am fortunate to be able to look back on several "boom times" as a professional shooter. I've worked in Dallas and New York. I was part of a small, dedicated team of studio photographers working for Horchow, Dillard's, Foley's, Neiman-Marcus, Hammacher-Schlemmer. As the business changed, I found more clients wanting creative product shots--often on location--so I developed a "Studio in a Box" system of readily portable equipment and sets. My reputation for impeccable and innovative lighting brought me new, national-brand clients including FritoLay, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, PepsiCo, and others. My location experience grew with agricultural giants like DuPont Crop Protection, importers like Pernod Ricard, and internationally known General Electric (GE) Transportation division. Over the last couple of years, I have found a lot of satisfaction in portraits--elderly people, young people, urban and rural folk. There is a knack for catching just the right expression for the perfect portrait--whether I'm trying to show the grace and dignity of the elderly; the spirit and joy of children; the earnest commitment and dedication of healthcare professionals; the rugged individualism of the American farmer and rancher; or the tenacity and concentration of office and factory workers. I welcome every new or returning client--from large organizations or small, local or international--with my personal promise of high-quality work and excellence in translating ideas into images.
